The painting course, led by Claudia, studied and practised hard for a week and ended with a fine exhibition in the cloister.
The choir took part in vespers every evening, as well as mass on Wednesday and Sunday. They also gave a short evening concert.
There were simple and advanced French classes every morning, led by Natali and Odile.
Keith was the inspirer and organiser of the evening's entertainment and Franz was the compère. It was nice to hear the members of the French classes reciting poems.
Claudia's idea was that the painters should listen in the morning to the choir rehearsing the Arvo Pärt Magnificat, and then paint their response. Then, in the evening, the choir improvised their response to the paintings. It was a fascinating experience.
