Michael Procter conducts the music for mass in St Augustine's, Kilburn. For many years this weekend has been organised by Thames Valley Early Music Forum.

This imposing church provides a grand setting for large scale sacred music. In 1997 we sang the Missa In illo tempore of Monteverdi and in 1998 Philippe de Monte Missa Benedicta es, based on the motet by Josquin. In 1999 10- and 12-part Gabrieli, 2001 Victoria Missa Salve Regina, 2002 Lassus Missa Congratulamini, 2003 Ivo de Vento Missa Surrexit pastor bonus, 2004 Palestrina Fratres ego enim, 2005 Andrea Gabrieli Missa Quando lieta sperai. In 2006 we are tackling Byrd's Propers for the feast of St Peter and St Paul, the only 6-part motets in the great Gradualia.

We hope the congregation get as much satisfaction from hearing this wonderful music sung in its liturgical setting as we do from singing it.
